Right, cool. Just started playing it, I'm thinking that Dsus2 has an F# in the bass, are you certain those are the notes that Mark plays? It's hard to hear under the piano chord. And the Cadd9 appears to have a G in the bass, god bless these inversions. The bass notes could be relegated to the bass, or piano and bass, and you could be right. Just want to be sure!

Hard to truly clarify because, yeah, in these parts the piano and voices rather overtake the guitar.

EDIT: Okay, although all your chords are perfect mate, I'm more than a little sceptical about the notes, still. For example the very first one, the Em, after several listens I'm almost certain it's in fact another kind of Em7

Alright mate? Don't worry about seeming rude, I've been playing for nearly thirty years and audiences (friends even) have said a lot ruder things about my playing! Smile

I'm not absolutely certain of any of this to be honest but I reckon the bass notes that you mention are played on the bass and piano.
I found the live acoustic versions on youtube to be easier to pick out individual parts than on the album version. On the Cadd9 for example, Mark doesn't appear to fret the low G (probably with his thumb if he did and it looks to me like he has it resting on the neck above the F#) Of course there's no guarantee that the band play the song the same way live as in the studio. scratch

I think it depends what you want to do with the song, if you want to play the song to accompany a singer say, then throw in the bass notes.
The mention of a tab book is interesting, might have to buy that meself and report back.

Oh, and you are right about the Em7, don't know why I didn't have it that way in the tab, that's the way I play it!
