Hello all
Been meaning to post since Monday night. I was there as the Culture Show interview was being filmed, hanging around with my sister. It was so funny when Guy appeared and sat down. I recognised Jones from her profile pic and I could see that you were all in bits!! I spilled coffee all over myself in my haste to sit down. My sister was more concerned about avoiding the cameras! GG walked right by us as he walked off - I was a nervous wreck!. Anyway, looking forward now to tomorrow night and hope all of you going tonight have a great time - no doubt you will!! Hxx

Loved the whole evening. There was a really nice vibe whilst watching the Culture Show filming. Very relaxed... And Lauren Laverne looks even hotter in real life Wink

The evening with Guy was superb. Really good to get an insite to some of the songs, and to hear about his life in general. I thought he was very open and honest as he answered some difficult questions about past relationships etc. What a charming & witty man. It amazes me to see just how grounded he has remained throughout everything that has gone on.

When Guy mentioned he admired Alan Bennett's work at the "Audience with Guy Garvey" I decided to check out some of his monologues. I'd read some stuff years ago but I thought I'd revisit it.

The first story I read was "A chip in the sugar" , published in 1988
Halfway down the first page are the words "elbow room"

Imagine Bennett predicting Magical Trevor would start a forum more than 20 years before it happened.

Maybe the audience with Guy contains more hidden messages, I'm going to re-read mrs woman's review again.
