Funnily enough last year they played both Southampton and Portsmouth Guildhall and I missed them Sad

Till crew were loading out, so not so long, as they had to travel to next stop that night.

I thought I was going to be late and miss the gig as I was a bit lost in Paris, but when I got to the venue the first thing I saw were all the band and crew sitting at the table there about to have dinner! before they went on stage.

seeing the early Leeds/Reading Festival appearance.

The early Leeds appearance is a little hazy to say the least due to the amount of beer we had consumed, but I can remember that the boyfriend and I really liked 'Red' so thought we would go and see them. I remember them being on in a tent, and that it was quite busy. Hearing them live for the first time, this was where the love affair with them started.

Its a shame that they dont do the Move fesitvals anymore, they were always good days out.

Looking forward to my next Elbow fix though in Sept, it cant come quick enough

its been a while since i last logged into the forum- and great to see so many like minded Obsessive’s ! :-)

Have seen Elbow some 20 odd times now- having discovered them in 2003.

Highlights include-

Brigewater Hall ( and meeting the legend that is Magical Trevor!!- shook your hand on my way to the bogs!!)
Abbey Road (turned up without a ticket and blagged my way in!)
London Festival Hall- (Meltdown festival) – crashed the aftershow and met the boys!!
Roundhouse (again crashed the aftershow and had a good chat with the lads!)

Am now looking forward to them supporting U2 at Wembley- and then Bestival on the Isle of Wight!!!

turned up early and got chatting with the bouncers- plenty of banter and i asked if there were any no shows- one of the guys went into Abbey Road and talked to someone or other and we were told to hang on for an hour or so- then not long before the doors opened a PR woman walked up to us with two tickets in her hand!! turns out there were indeed some no shows on the night.... result! was an amazing night not one that i will forget for a long time to come!!

Didn't think they'd be on so early and struggled to find the place. Had the great honour of buying the guys a drink in the bar after.
