The albums are so consistantly good, though. Whatever they played live this tour, I could not have been disappointed. Very special...

I'm going through a phase of listening back through everything and I love them all. I think Asleep is probably still my overall favourite, possibly because it was the first I knew. A lot has been said about SSK being consistently good with that "whole album" feel to it - and I agree (although it took me much longer than the other 3 to get into, but is a true grower I think) but I've always felt the same way about AITB, one of the things that impressed me about it; I love everything on it and the whole atmosphere - not to mention quite a few of my favourite Elbow songs - Newborn, Can't Stop, Red (lovely to hear it live last night), Coming Second. But as someone said about favourite children, it's so hard to choose (and then there are the B-sides...)

Asleep in The Back is my favorite album ever. I love the beautifully edgy freaky vibe of the whole thing. Cause that's the way I roll. I do love them all though.

See??! They could be twins! She's a good crazy girl. Don't let her scare you. And she's not some freak of nature, it's a wig.

Asleep In The Back would have to be my fave although i think all their albums are amazing in their own way, AITB has stood the test of time without doubt, the new album is great but i will give it a year or two before making comparisons, top 3 ELbow tracks....1. Newborn 2. Fallen Angels 3. Station Approach

For me it's the Nooisebox EP. If only 'cause it got me into them. Peel played Powder Blue on Radio One when it came out, blew me away at the time and I was lucky enough to get a copy from a well known Manchester music emporium. That's not to say that the albums are far behind. Seldom... has been on pretty heavy rotation, but I often go back to other tracks.

Very, very hard to choose. I think every one of them has something unique and special about them, but if it really came down to it, I would have to say Cast of Thousands. However, my reasons would be more personal rather than "musical". I have a great affection for this album seeing as this is the one that turned me on to Elbow and has helped me through a very tough time. Does that count? If it doesn't, well then sorry, I couldn't possibly choose!!!!

Asleep In The Back always, there aren't many albums I have that I'd call timeless, but this is one. I could listen to Scattered Black & Whites, Asleep In The Back, Newborn, Red, and Powder Blue every day until I die and never ever sicken of them. I am totally and utterly impressed with The Seldom Seen Kid tho. Its the best since Asleep that's for sure.

Asleep for me. Speaks to me more than the others, not that I don't love each one in different ways. Each one has given me enjoyment but AITB was the right album at the right time and totally captured my imagination, it drew me in and immersed me in "Elbow World". Not that many things didn't seem familiar, which is probably what got me hooked.
