| I love the Grace Under Pressure lyrics. They're so very sweet. And there's something about that building up, leading up to, feeling of the song that sucks me in. And the drumbeat is way cool. |

We all hear and feel them so differently. |
True, though it's interesting that certain songs do keep popping up here. I have listened to Lay Down Your Cross twice, and have skipped it ever since; don't care much for The Everthere, either - it's just sort of blah to me. Sometimes I skip it; if I'm lazy, I let it go. Not crazy about An Audience With the Pope, and One Day Like This...it's funny, I really loved it initially, but for some reason it's wearing on me quickly.
Yeah, now I feel kinda guilty myself... |

| well the word 'pope' is kinda silly and doesnt really sound good when sung, and it does not belong in a song, let alone in the title or chorus. i think the songwriting is weak, and then that weird piano solo !!! |

| To be brutally honest... the worst song Garvey and the boys have ever written would still leave most of the bands on the radio 1 playlist gasping for air and submitting their CV's to Tesco after the realisation that their life's work is shite. I genuinely LIKE all of their songs, some i love, some i adore, some i think are boarderline flawless. |

When you read the interveiw that it's about "Over coming catholisism to enjoy sex" the song takes on a whole new light. It has been one of my favorites on the album since the very begining!!!! |

| I agree with the least favourite theme. So, my 'least favourite' has to be Buttons & ZipsI know it's all about opinion, but The Everthere? _Joe |

| It's one of my top favourites and the song I first heard, that got me into them from the start. Yes it is totally awesome live - an experience more than a song! (Alright I'd better stop there...) I'd be interested too to know what's not good about it for you Mrs MT (if this isn't a wind-up ) Another example of how we all appreciate (or don't) things differently. _________________ when out of a doorway the tentacles stretch of a song that I know and the world moves in slow-moLast.fm |

I know where you're coming from, lee...I'm not too patient with endless instrumental friggery either, as a general rule. But Newborn isn't like that, IMHO...it's creating a mood and telling a story, sort of, so there's a point to it. It's not just noodling for noodling's sake and it serves a purpose in the context of the song. It does gain a lot in live performance, for sure...very intense and very gorgeous! |

| Nope not a joke, just does absolutely nothing for me musically. No matter how many times I see them do it live I still hate it. Nice sentiment but that swelling wall of noise bores the pants off me, and it never seems to go anywhere somehow... Not for me I'm afraid, but each to their own eh? _________________ They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Administrator
