Fair enough. I would suffer with any other browser now, since i've customised it so much. _________________ Fear my epic posts! Moderator

| The main reason that it has gone is because the last thing that was posted in it was me saying "I think I might get rid of this because no-one uses it". I left that there for three months, and no-one said anything. However, it's not gone, just not visible any more. If you click "Join the chat" it opens in a new window _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.." Albert Einstein Administrator

| Where is this 'Join the chat' you speak of? I was wondering if there was a more obvious place to put these stickies, rather than Elbow Patch. The necessary ones like forum announcements/news and the welcome thread. Perhaps a separate News section at the top. Elbow Patch isn't the obvious place to look for these topics since they're not technically Elbow-related. I think that's why, for example, several new forum goers make their own welcome threads in The Hole, only to have them moved later on. _________________ I was looking for someone to complete me. | Join the Chat is on the home page, at the bottom. We used to have an announcements section, but it was considered unecessary so I pulled it. This seemed the best place for it because the forum is an elbow forum. A news section wouldn't make much sense in this case because it would contain elbow related news and non-elbow related? Anyway, more suggestions from other people in this vein would be useful, I'm happy to give the people what they want! Perhaps a poll on the subject? _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.." Albert Einstein Administrator

| Ah I see, that's fair enough. I for one would be in favour of having the announcements section back for the housekeeping stuff even if it isn't posted in very often, so it would be nicely separated from the Elbow band stuff and the newbies would know where to look. _________________ I was looking for someone to complete me. | I seem to remember the announcements section was dropped after we realised that nobody ever looked in it. Plus there are only really 2 or 3 things that would fit in a section like that, those being the Introductions thread, the rules thread and the suggestions thread. I agree that it is slightly out of place putting the announcements in the Elbow Patch, but it's really the only place that it logically fits. Can I suggest that we put the links back in white, rather than pale blue? I still find it distracting _________________ Fear my epic posts! Moderator

| Well since you guys already had that section and decided it wasn't working, I'll trust your judgement on that one! _________________ I was looking for someone to complete me. Not anymore, dear.

| I think the problem with the links was that if they are in white, you can't tell it's a link. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.." Albert Einstein Administrator
