no thread for them!

This years Glastonbury had one of the best gigs ever, Blur at the pyramid stage on the sunday, i was at the barrier, i touched damon albarn (im such a fangirl!) and the sing-alongs were mental.

They were absolutely mind blowing good! loved every minute of it! want to do it again!

wish i had tickets for any of their other gigs.

I saw them at the MEN last Friday and they were fantastic, definately in my top 5 best ever gigs. They seemed genuinely appreciative of the audience, Damon was a bit emotional a couple of times, and he said that gig gave them the courage to do Glastonbury. Really cant rate them highly enough Thumbs Up!

They were FANTASTIC!!! My 15 year old daughter is a complete Blur freak, so we had to push as far down the front as possible - trying vainly to avoid the plastic beer bottle grenades. (I really hope that was beer left in the bottles......). We had such FUN - singing and screeching and bouncing up and down. I do hurt today though, AND we had to drive back to Wales immediately afterwards. They only played 1 duff song - something about death of a teenager - Christ it was awful!! Apart from that we all had a wonderful day.

They seem so happy to be playing together again.

Death of a Party, from their 1997 self-titled album. Quite appropriate under the circumstances - my friend was there and said that before they played it, Damon announced that Hyde Park was going to be their last ever gig in England (the implication being that the reformation was a one-off and once the festival season's over that's it)

Shame, I'd almost forgotten how much I love Blur and now I'll never get to see them - I don't really go to gigs any more but they're one of the few bands I would actually pay to go and see.

I agree, Lee - I've never seen them either and would have loved to - one of my favourite bands. I'll just have to catch up with vids from some of this summer's performances.
