| Setlist moved around a bit. they started off with Winter Hill, Last Broadcast found its way back in, they did Cedar Room at the end of the main set as well. But no real surprises, the set did feel a bit disjointed and there wasn't as much Kingdom of Rust as we expected. An hour only for the main set. Interesting venue, can't make out whether I liked it or not, stage wasn't high enough, but easy to get served. |

| What an incredible combination, Doves with that particular choir, am listening on the radio live now, sounds great, and will definitely watch the TV coverage later. |

| The setlist went something like this, from memory: Snowden Winter Hill Firesuite 10:03 Pounding Jetstream The Storm Black & White Town Sea Song Greatest Denier Kingdom of Rust Last Broadcast Catch The Sun Birds Flew Backwards (with Baluji Shrivastav) Cedar Room There goes the Fear It was great. However, the choir weren't involved as much as I thought they would be. 10:03 was particularly beautiful as was Birds Flew Backwards. I love the Electric Proms and The Roundhouse, If only I had tickets for Mr Hawley.... Review here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20091022_doves_magazine_review.shtml |

Yes, I thought that, when they didn't even feature till 'firesuite' and when jimi was doing the last notes of the last song, If I'm remembering correctly, from the telly I thought they could have harmonised with him.
the TV broadcast wasn't the whole set. Don't know if the red button will be more? I think the radio probably was, thats without checking whats on iplayer now. |
