Spirit of the Age I would have like you to have been deep frozen too and waiting still as fresh in your flesh for my return to earth but your father refused to sign the forms to freeze you let's see you'd be about sixty now and long dead by the the time i return to earth my time held dreams were full of you as you were when i left: still under-age your android replica is playing up again it's no joke when she comes she moans another's name That's the Spirit of the Age Maybe I should have posted those in the 'Favourite Lyrics' thread I agree about Hawklords 25 Years On as well. That too has been recently been remastered and released on CD _________________ Are you falling in love every second song?

| Erm wasn't that thread Favourite Elbow lyrics...? Both wonderful songs though. Still OT (by about 25 years if we're talking about buying the album ) this thread has now got me listening to Nik Turner's Inner City Unit. _________________ when out of a doorway the tentacles stretch of a song that I know and the world moves in slow-moLast.fm |

| Interesting - i'm a bit out of left field taste-wise i guess. Last bought was Shellac: 1000 Hertz, and i can't remember being given a cd for a long time - maybe christmas years ago! |

| Bought Doves, Leisure Society & Bat For Lashes yesterday. Doves is fantastic on first couple of listens, fave album of 09 to date. There's no real progression from previous albums but they've got a winning formula so why change? Not had chance to listen to other two yet but I'm going on hols on Thursday so I've loaded them onto the ipod _________________ He was about seven foot tall and sang like a girl

| Hmm...let me think.... I think it was Midlake's "Van Occupanther" I bought a few weeks ago at my local recordshop. I ordered also Mogwai's "Zidane" soundtrack but it hasn't arrived yet... I might order Doves new one next or download it at itunes or similar... _________________ ...with my head so full, so full of fractured pictures... Summertime and the Weissbier is freezing

| I've just 'borrowed' a few albums (about 40) from my Bro in law. That'll give me plenty to be getting on with. I now have a wide range of stuff to investigate from Modest Mouse and The Raconteurs through to Captan Beefheart (I've never heard Trout Mask Replica before. It's utterly bonkers) and Bob Dylan via (amongst others) I Am Kloot, White Stripes, Joy Division and Phillip Glass. _________________ Are you falling in love every second song?

| Tonight - Franz Ferdinand Annie Lennox's new Greatest Hits package - can't remember the title Lesley Have't listen to either yet so can't comment but I like the "No You Girls" single so I'm hoping it's going to be good, and Annie's a true DIVA so I know I shan't be disappointed. |
