| TL, you definitely ask the next question now. I realised I didn't give you a chance for a question before...and now you have 2 different questions correct. Sorry x |

| A bit OT - Oh dear I'm afraid I haven't a clue TL - but I am going to see Jethro Tull in March and the previous question makes me realise how out of touch I am! Sounds like a wonderful chance meeting there, LWD. _________________ when out of a doorway the tentacles stretch of a song that I know and the world moves in slow-moLast.fm |

| TL, which one does not belong? Oasis - because they have split up? or Mogwai because they are Scottish, and the others all have members that have links with Lancashire? OT - Glendarian, enjoy the March show. (We are still out of pocket by £76 from the shambles of the Memories of Woodstock Festival in Shrewsbury last summer, that never was, when we were going to see Tull, JLBJH (with orchestra) Strawbs and Melanie- who played at Woodstock originally. We still havn't got a refund back from that wannabee promoter) |

| Ok, watch the video. Who originally wrote and sang this song? and extra kudos if you can name the bass player who is with Steve, try first without looking at the info on youtube. |

| It's a Ray Charles song. No idea who the bassist is. edit: just looked at the song information, now I know who the bassist is, but still none the wiser _________________ The curtains are drawn...but the furniture is real!

| Correct answer hesh, You are scratching your head as being none the wiser about who the bassist was. I was just being a tease to throw in an extra question about a musician who is not a household name. Yet he has given a lot of pleasure to so many over the years, and played with many of the 'big' names, and features on many albums, including his own. I first saw him at gigs in Caravan, and more recently as a duo with Geoffrey Richardson (who was also in Caravan, but now is mostly with Murray Head) Bit of his past music history in below link, if you're interested. http://calyx.perso.neuf.fr/mus/leverton_jim.html So your turn for a question. |

| Thanks for that link, I'm vaguely familiar with some of those bands, but hadn't heard of the fella till today. That's something I love about this forum, that other members bring interesting bands to your attention; I'll be checking out some of his work now. Now a question, hmmm ok, who played to the smallest crowd on the main stage (Ithink there may have been only one) at the original(1969) Woodstock festival ? _________________ The curtains are drawn...but the furniture is real!

I'm going to say Jimi Hendrix. If I remember the documentary film correctly, he was the last to play, and most folks had already gone by the time his set started. |

| Absolutely correct Chrissie. He was the main headliner, so was billed to close the festival on Sunday night . The event had overran so severely that he didn't go on till the Monday morning. _________________ The curtains are drawn...but the furniture is real!

| Allllllrighty then! New question: Since the late 1980’s, Johnny Marr (former guitarist for The Smiths) has appeared on albums by all but one of the following bands. With which band has he never made a recorded guest appearance? Oasis Girls Aloud M People Blur Pet Shop Boys Crowded House |
